That day

  1. I do think that mistrust and fear and division are harder to recover from than the fire, floods, and winds. And that day...that day will forever be a raw sadness and fear that I don't think we can recover from as long as we have a memory.

    1. You are absolutely right, it will stay in our memories forever. Watching on the news last evening when they were talking with some of the children that are growing up without a parent since that time was truly heartbreaking.

  2. I couldn't agree more with Christine...I also think that mistrust and fear and division will be much harder to recover from..."we" can throw money at the damage from fires and floods and winds...but the other? As we know...there's certain things money can't by. My heart is so heavy these days...so very heavy. xoxo

    1. and I couldn't agree with you more, my heart just feels heavy, even though I'm so very thankful in many ways, some things feel not right. Sending hugs to your sweet heart.

  3. That day changed the idea we had about the world and the people and destructive ideas and fanatism. That day changed us.
I hope and wish the same as you do.

  4. I have been out of the blogosphere for a bit .... and it seems I've missed several of your posts! so I'm going to warm my tea and sit down to enjoy each one. As for this one .... I can remember every moment of that day. Seeing my baby girl standing there with me watching the news and asking what it all meant, and not knowing how to explain it.
